Please take seven minutes out of your life to watch the trailer for the soon-to-be-released film “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.” In a society where free thought is supposed to be the benchmark of tolerance and progress, we find out, once again, that free thought is tolerated only when it falls in line with what certain segments of society have deemed acceptable.

We’re not talking about Adam and Eve here. We’re talking about the very general belief that a loving and benevolent God put his fingerprints on the creation of the universe, that things did not come about because of a random flash and bang. There are many brilliant scientists out there who believe in creation through intelligent design, but the intellectual elites have issued their own versions of gag orders. It’s frightening, really, and it’s time we started paying attention and stopped being afraid to say what we believe in and say it loud.
